Nordea (Finland) (HEL:NDA1V) Nordea will cut its Prime Rate by 0.6 percentage points to 2.9 per cent. The new Prime Rate will enter into force on 2 February 2009.

Nordea (Finland) (HEL:NDA1V) Timo Penttilä has been appointed new manager responsible for the asset management of Nordea's institutional customers in Finland. He will assume his duties on 1 March 2009, succeeding Staffan Sevón, who has taken a position outside Nordea.

Nordea (Finland) (HEL:NDA1V) Leena Mörttinen has been appointed Nordea's Finnish Head of Sales Services with coordination responsibility for Savings Finland effective 1 January 2009. She succeeds Taina Ahvenjärvi, who accepted a position with another employer earlier this autumn.

Nordea (Finland) (HEL:NDA1V) Nordea and Municipality Finance (Kuntarahoitus) have today, on 23 September 2008, concluded a framework agreement under which Nordea will sell credits it has granted to municipalities and municipality-owned companies to Municipality Finance in Finland. The first trade, consisting of a portfolio of close to EUR 600 million, is to take place on 30 September. The trade will have no effect on Nordea's financial result.

Nordea (Finland) (HEL:NDA1V) Nordea will expand its branch network by opening Nordea Shops at all Stockmann's department stores in Finland. The shops will serve customers on weekdays and Saturdays during Stockmann's opening hours.

Nordea (Finland) (HEL:NDA1V) Fixed costs take up 70 per cent of Finnish students' income. Every other student has had to put off buying consumer durables for financial reasons. As many as one in four students who have taken out a student loan have had trouble paying the rent and other fixed costs. Yet their confidence in their future personal finances is strong, as is indicated by a Nordic survey commissioned by Nordea.
