Asian Activities Report for October 17, 2011: International Coal Limited (ASX:ICX) Expands Coal Drilling Programme at South Blackall Project
Sydney, Oct 17, 2011 AEST (ABN Newswire) - International Coal Limited (ASX:ICX) has expanded the drilling programme at its wholly owned South Blackall Project in Queensland. The expanded programme will now include much of the work that was originally planned for the first half of 2012, drilling up to 20 holes covering an area of 400 km2. Subject to the results of drilling, the Company expects to announce a maiden JORC resource in the future.
Avanco Resources Limited (ASX:AVB) reports excellent results from the Rio Verde Copper Project in Brazil. Deep drilling continues to intersect substantial widths of ore grade mineralisation, reporting significant gold values in some of the drillholes. Drilling will continue to follow mineralisation down plunge and along strike to the southwest. Additionally infill drilling has commenced to enable resource estimation.
