Mr Rothery was educated at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland and spent 10 years in the resources industry there exploring for copper, zinc, uranium, gold and silver, before emigrating to Australia in 1989. Eoin then worked at the major base metal deposits of Broken Hill and Macarthur River as well as at the world class Jundee Gold Mine before joining Consolidated Minerals in 2001. Eoin was in charge of the successful manganese exploration at Woodie Woodie, increasing both the mine life and resource base 4-fold, as well as managing successful iron ore, chromite and nickel exploration. Eoin was Managing Director of ASX listed India Resources Limited (IRL) from start up in October 2006 till early 2009. IRL was the first foreign company to start a mine in India since nationalisation in the 1970's. IRL's Surda copper mine broke a 50 year production record in its first full year of production.
