Current activity
- Tilbrook #9 has been drilled to 500 m, logged and under-reamed across target coal seams ready to be cased and suspended as a future producer.
- Tilbrook #10b the rig is moving to site.
- The TXD Rig drilling rate is exceeding expectations.
- The T8 lateral producing well continues to produce gas from one lateral (TL8a) after several attempts to clear the blockage in (TL8b) and water rates remain encouraging.
Up to 16 wells are planned as part of the 2009 / 2010 exploration program across WestSide's tenements.
ATP 688P coal seam gas drilling program (Tilbrook)
WestSide continues a multi well program in ATP 688P in the northern Bowen Basin to confirm coal and gas in the P seam and Goonyella seams of the Moranbah Coal Measures in preparation for the drilling of two sets of horizontal chevron-style dual-lateral wells (Tilbrook #L9a and #L9b, Tilbrook #L10a and #L10b) which are planned to intersect with new vertical wells (Tilbrook #9 and #10).
Tilbrook #9 is planned as a vertical appraisal well which will be intersected by two horizontal appraisal wells (Tilbrook #L9a and #L9b).
Latest activity - Tilbrook #9
The Tilbrook #9 vertical appraisal well spud on 20 November and has been drilled to a depth of 500 m, logged and under-reamed across selected coal seams. Production casing is currently being run. The well will be suspended as a future producer. The well encountered 10 metres of net coal, including 4 metres in the target P seam.

Expected operations in the next week
Casing to be set above the target coal seams in the Tilbrook #9 well and the well to be suspended as a future producer.
The rig will move to the Tilbrook #10b site and commence drilling early next week.
Other Activities
The Tilbrook 8 lateral well is blocked in one lateral (TL8b). The Tilbrook 8 lateral well continues to produce gas from one lateral (TL8a). After several attempts to clear the blockage in TL8b without success, the well is coming back on line and water rates remain encouraging.
