The President of the Republic has granted the Finnish honorary title of vuorineuvos to Kesko Corporation's President and CEO Matti Halmesmäki, M.Sc. (Econ.), LL.M.

President and CEO Matti Halmesmäki was born in 1952. He started employment with Kesko in 1980 and since then, has held several key positions, for example, Executive Vice President, Finance and Accounting, and President of Rautakesko Ltd. During the period 1989-2000, he acted as a member of Kesko Corporation's Board of Directors. Since 1 March 2005, he has acted as the Kesko Group's President and CEO.

Matti Halmesmäki holds the following positions of trust, among others: Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK, Board member of the Federation of Finnish Commerce, and Board member of the Central Chamber of Commerce.
