Handelsbanken (STO:SHBA) Correction Concerning Kaupthing

Handelsbanken (STO:SHBA) This morning, Handelsbanken published a press release concerning assistance for those of Handelsbanken's customers who have an account with Kaupthing Bank

This press release contained errors which Handelsbanken deeply regrets.

The press release gave the incorrect impression that Kaupthing Bank has closed its deposit accounts. This is not the case.

"Our offer applied to our customers with a Kaupthing Edgekonto account who now need funds quickly. If there is a delay in payment from this account, these customers of Handelsbanken can contact us for assistance," clarifies Kai Jokitulppo.

"Handelsbanken deeply regrets this and asks Kaupthing Bank, its customers, employers and owners to accept our apologies," says Pär Boman, CEO of Handelsbanken.
