Henrik Carlstedt - New Head Of Handelsbanken's Regional Bank Finland

Handelsbanken On 15 October, Henrik Carlstedt will be appointed new head of Handelsbanken Regional Bank Finland. At the same time, he will be appointed Executive Vice President of Handelsbanken and become a member of the Bank's senior management team.

Henrik Carlstedt is currently regional area manager at Handelsbanken Regional Bank Finland and has worked at the Bank since 1995.

Henrik Carlstedt says, "I get to take over a very well-run operation. During the seven years that Petri Hatakka was head of Handelsbanken Regional Bank Finland, profits increased by more than tenfold. Nonetheless, I believe that all the conditions are right to enable us to continue along the successful path hewed by Petri."

Handelsbanken Regional Bank Finland currently has 44 branch offices, extending from Rovaniemi in the north to Ekenäs in the south. Lending to the general public amounted to EUR 9.3 billion at year-end 2007. Handelsbanken Regional Bank Finland has a total of 700 employees.

Petri Hatakka, who is currently head of Handelsbanken Regional Bank Finland, will be the new head of Handelsbanken International.
