Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) (PINK:BENGF) is pleased to advise that the decision has been made to complete the D.Truchard #1 well for production following electric logging. D.Truchard #1 is an appraisal well in the Heintschel field in Colorado County, Texas. Evaluation of the well is continuing, however, the early logs indicated that hydrocarbons are present in over 300 feet (~90 metres) of the target Prairie Bell Wilcox sands and that there are several zones of interest above and below the Prairie Bell.

Truchard #1 well has been drilled to a total depth of 12,000 feet (3,658 metres) with gas shows and gas flows to the surface encountered while drilling the lower part of the well. The commercial significance of the gas shows cannot be determined until electric logs have been run.

The D.Truchard #1 well is the first appraisal well on the broader Heintschel structure and is located some 2.9km from Heintschel #1, which is currently on gas and condensate production.

Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) is pleased to advise that the D.Truchard #1 well, the first appraisal well on the broader Heintschel structure, has been spudded using the Big 6 drilling rig.

Burleson Energy Limited (ASX:BUR) is pleased to advise that a rig has been contracted to drill two wells and is expected to be moved onto location on 18 November 2010, with the first well spudded shortly thereafter. This rig performed well in drilling the 3 Wilcox wells (Heintschel #1, Moeller #1 and Joann #1) earlier in the year.
