As recently reported, Meteoric Resources NL (ASX:MEI) completed a geochemical survey (1818 soil samples and 733 stream sediment samples) over several target areas prospective for gold mineralisation at Tibooburra, about 300km north of Broken Hill, NSW. The Tibooburra goldfield comprises several inliers of Cambrian metasediments which host many hundreds of quartz veins in an area extending from the town of Tibooburra for some 50km to the south west.

Final assay results have been received from the rock sampling carried out over the 40km-long strike length of banded iron formations (BIF), evident in either outcrop or from the aeromagnetic data.

With the US$ gold price reaching record highs and with a very positive outlook for the metal, Meteoric Resources (ASX:MEI) is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement to earn up to a 75% interest in 600sq km of tenements covering most of the Tibooburra goldfield in north western New South Wales. The Tibooburra gold project is viewed as providing Meteoric with a low cost entry to a highly prospective, under explored and forgotten gold district at a time of rising gold prices.

Following an agreement to acquire a 100% interest in the Coorara iron project (MEI ASX Release 31 May 2010) Meteoric Resources (ASX:MEI) has commissioned a detailed aeromagnetic survey over the 40km strike length of banded iron formation (BIF) evident on the project area from outcrop and existing aeromagnetic data.

Meteoric Resources (ASX:MEI) has acquired the rights to a 100% interest in granted exploration licence E52/2412 adjacent to its Robinson Range iron project in the emerging Mid West iron province of Western Australia.
