Statkraft (OSL:STAEN) (Rødberg, 20 January 2009) Today Statkraft is opening the Rødberg power plant in Buskerud County, Norway. Making use of the waterfall drop between two existing power plants, the new plant will produce enough power to supply 800 households.

Statkraft (OSL:STAEN) (Oslo/Düsseldorf/Stockholm/London, 8 January 2009) Statkraft AS and E.ON AG have completed the asset swap that positions Statkraft as Europe's largest generator of renewable energy. The Statkraft Group's total generation capacity is increased with approximately 2,500 MW.

Statkraft (OSL:STAEN) (Oslo, 12 November 2008) Statkraft has decided to purchase all the remaining shares in the company Catamount Cymru Cyf, which owns the rights to build and operate Blaengwen wind farm in Wales. The purchase is part of Statkraft's wind power focus in Europe. Blaengwen wind farm - which is under construction - will provide clean electricity to 16,000 UK households.

Statkraft (OSL:STAEN) (Sauda/Lilleaker, 25 September 2008) Statkraft AS and Eramet Norway AS have signed a letter of intent regarding energy recovery from excess gas at the smelting plant in Sauda. The project will capture energy which today goes straight into the air, and will provide more than 100 GWh of new electricity per year.

Statkraft (Oslo, 16 June 2008) Statkraft is strengthening its position in wind power in Sweden through its investment in Arise Windpower. Statkraft acquires an ownership interest of 11.8 per cent and gets a seat on the board - which is headed by Pehr G Gyllenhammar.
