StatoilHydro (OSL:STL) Stavanger, Norway - January 2, 2009. StatoilHydro ASA ("StatoilHydro") announced today that in connection with the transfer of legal ownership of its Norwegian Continental Shelf ("NCS") assets to its wholly-owned Norwegian subsidiary, StatoilHydro Petroleum AS ("StatoilHydro Petroleum"), effective as of January 1, 2009 StatoilHydro Petroleum has become a co-obligor or guarantor under StatoilHydro's debt securities (as listed below). The transfer simplifies the asset holding structure of the group and consolidates the NCS assets in a single wholly-owned legal entity.

StatoilHydro (OSL:STL) Stavanger, Norway - 15 December 2008. StatoilHydro ASA ("StatoilHydro") announced that at meetings held in London on 15 December 2008 holders of its Dollar Notes, Euro 2011 Notes and Euro 2029 Notes (as defined below) approved, by separate extraordinary resolutions, amendments to the terms and conditions of such Notes, as set forth in the consent solicitation statement dated 29 October 2008. Holders of StatoilHydro's Sterling Notes and Yen Notes (as defined below) approved similar amendments to the terms and conditions of such Notes at meetings held on 27 November 2008. Accordingly, the amendments to the terms and conditions of each of the Notes are implemented with effect from 15 December 2008.

StatoilHydro (OSL:STL) As of today, Øystein Michelsen (52), Helga Nes (52) and Gunnar Myrebøe (59) have been appointed members of StatoilHydro's corporate executive committee. Mr Michelsen will take up the position as executive vice president for the Exploration & Production Norway business area, Mr Myrebøe is to hold the same post in the Projects business area and Ms Nes will lead the area for corporate staffs and services.

StatoilHydro (OSL:STL) StatoilHydro ASA (OSE: STL, NYSE:STO) StatoilHydro's net income in the third quarter in 2008 amounted to NOK 6.3 billion compared to NOK 14.6 billion in the third quarter of 2007 and was negatively affected by the significant strengthening of the US dollar compared to NOK on net financial items and consequently an unusually high tax rate. Net income in the first nine months of 2008 amounted to NOK 41.2 billion, compared to NOK 38.4 billion in the first nine months of 2007.
