Aktiv Kapital (OSL:AIK) Aktiv Kapital is committed to reduce the cost base with more than 10 percent to improve profitability and prepare the Company for more financially challenging times. The program when fully implemented in July 2009 will affect more than 200 employees, approximately 15% percent of the total workforce, and lead to a more efficient office structure. The program will involve operations in all 11 countries and include a provision of approximately NOK 30 million which will be booked in Q1 2009.

Aktiv Kapital (OSL:AIK) Aktiv Kapital is considering various options for the Danish operations, including divesting or right-sizing the business area Debt Collection and right-sizing the business area Non-performing Portfolio Acquisition. The consideration was initiated due to lacking economy of scale within the Danish operations. Year-to-date third quarter 2008 the Danish operations had total operating revenue of NOK 21.3 million and operating profit of NOK -4.4 million. The cash collection in the business area non-performing debt was NOK 21.6 million.

Aktiv Kapital (OSL:AIK) Aktiv Kapital ASA will present the financial results for the third quarter 2008 on Thursday 30 October at 08.15. The presentation will be held by CEO Erik Øyno and CFO Scott Danielsen at Hotel Continental in Oslo.

Aktiv Kapital (OSL:AIK) After almost 10 years of running the UK business of Aktiv Kapital, Philip Lunn has decided to step down from the role of UK CEO, with effect from 26 September, in order to adopt a different work/life balance. Whereas we do of course wish Philip well for the future outside of Group, we are also discussing projects in which he may be involved.

Aktiv Kapital (OSL:AIK) In line with the Aktiv Kapital strategy to leverage market conditions, the company has entered into an agreement with one of the world leading financial institutions to purchase a consumer credit portfolio in Austria with face value of NOK 2141 (EUR 258) million. The portfolio contains approximately 15 500 accounts and has during the last twelve months generated a cash flow of approximately NOK 183 (EUR 22) million. The purchase represents Aktiv Kapital's largest investment in 2008.
