("Metro International"), the world's largest international newspaper, announces that its two newspaper titles in Denmark, MetroXpress and 24 Timer, will in 2009 qualify for state press subsidy issued by the Danish Government. This is the first time that Metro has received such financial assistance from the Government. During 2009, the financial support is estimated to be approximately € 4.6 million for both titles.
